This is a great example of a question that has no real meaning. In the beginning of the scene, when Jericho asks what Mac is, it is a simple question. However, in this case, it seems to have a double meaning. Because when Jericho asks “what are you” he actually is asking “what are you doing?” or “what are you thinking about?” I believe that at the end of the scene, when Jericho says “you dropped 30 feet in that warehouse.
You should have broken something. What are you” is a question with a double meaning because even though he asked “what are you” in the beginning of the scene, Jericho was really asking him what he did after he got down from 30 feet.
